La Luz

this is how i chose to spend my birthday. at la luz resort in san juan, batangas. far away from everyone, from the busy city, traffic jams, and deadlines. i've managed to reallocate 3 unused leave days from last year into this year. luckily my boss agreed not to have HR forfeit them.

i missed out on spending summer at the beach last year, so here i am starting early this year.

Boracay

sand, surf, sunburns and five fabulous days in boracay! i am lovin the beach more than ever. vacation has never been this good. we've booked this since february and lodgings at the boracay penninsula were almost fully booked. luckily someone cancelled and we made no second thoughts about it. boracay is paradise and commercialism put together. all over the long stretch of beach are ads and promos of telecoms and products ranging from beverages to sunblock. i tried so much not to get them in my photographs, but sometimes, it's just not possible. at least i did try to keep it to a minimum. lots of people here and there. celebrities and regular people. foreigners and locals. island hoppin during the day, bar hoppin at night. this is like asia's ibiza.
